Charles Albert Silver - Larimar Teardrop Pendant
Larimar is a rare form of pectolite that was first discovered in the Dominican Republic in 1916 (but the request to mine the stone was denied) and then re-discovered in 1974 by Miguel Mendez and Peace Corps volunteer Norman Rilling. Mendez named the stone after his daughter Larissa and the Spanish word for sea (mar). It varies from white, light blue, green-blue to deep blue; quality grading is based on the stone’s coloration.
- Due to the one-of-a-kind nature of the stone, the color, shape pattern may vary slightly from the image shown.
- Handcrafted in .950 Sterling Silver by Artisans in Mexico.
- All Charles Albert pieces are Signed/Hallmarked.
